By using the Munros app and website (munros.app), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Using Munros

Munros provides tools to track your progress climbing Scotland's 282 Munros. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create (photos, notes, activity logs). By posting content to community features, you grant us a licence to display it within the app. You can delete your content at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the service

4. Safety Disclaimer

Hillwalking involves inherent risks. Munros is a tracking and information tool, not a safety device. Route information, weather data, and GPS features are provided for reference only. Always:

• Check conditions with official sources before heading out
• Carry appropriate equipment, maps, and navigation tools
• Tell someone your planned route and expected return time
• Do not rely solely on the app for navigation

We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from hillwalking activities.

5. Service Availability

We aim to keep Munros available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend features without notice. Offline functionality is provided to minimise disruption in areas without signal.

6. Premium Features

Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing and included features will be clearly displayed before purchase. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective refund policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The Munros name, logo, design, and app content are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without written permission.

8. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Munros is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
