Everything you need to get started, explore features, and fix common issues with the Munros app.
Munros is free on iOS and Android. Search "Munros" on the App Store or Google Play.
Sign up with your email address, Apple ID, or Google account. It takes less than a minute.
Find a Munro on the map or list, tap it, and mark it as climbed. Your progress starts now.
Log every Munro you climb, see your progress at a glance, and work towards completing all 282. Your stats sync across devices automatically.
Browse popular routes for each Munro with distance, ascent, and estimated time. Follow turn-by-turn guidance on the trail.
Check summit-specific weather forecasts before you head out, including wind speed, temperature, visibility, and precipitation.
Use detailed offline maps with GPS tracking. Import and export GPX files to plan routes or share them with friends.
Add friends and see who's climbing what. Compare progress, plan group hikes, and celebrate milestones together.
See which routes are suitable for dogs and check for seasonal restrictions like lambing season or deer stalking.
Make sure you're connected to the internet and signed in. Try pulling down to refresh, or sign out and back in. If the issue persists, email support@munros.app.
Check that location permissions are set to "Always" or "While Using" in your device settings. Restart the app if the signal seems stuck. GPS accuracy improves outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
Double-check your email and password. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use the same method to sign in. You can reset your password from the login screen.
Maps and route data can be downloaded for offline use. Open a Munro's detail page while connected, and the data will be cached for your next trip into the hills.
You can delete your account from the app settings, or email support@munros.app and we'll handle it within 48 hours. All your data will be permanently removed.
Go to Settings > Export Data to download a copy of your climb history and profile information as a file.
Head to Settings > Account to update your email address or set a new password. If you signed up with Apple or Google, your email is managed by that provider.
We take your privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely and never sold to third parties. Read our full privacy policy for details.
We're a small team but we always reply. Reach out and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
